Programmes and Entry Requirements
General Qualifications
- Applicants must have five credits in WASC, GCE, NECO, or NABTEB, including English Language, in not more than two sittings.
- Candidates must meet the basic undergraduate and postgraduate entry requirements for their chosen fields.
- Degrees must be obtained from UNN or other recognized institutions.
Specific Qualifications
Postgraduate Diplomas:
- Eligibility:
- Bachelor’s Degree holders with at least Third Class Honours and a minimum GPA of 1.9 (5-point scale).
- HND holders with a minimum GPA of 2.50 (5-point scale).
- Special Cases:
- Some programmes may require additional qualifications, work experience, or departmental tests.
Master’s Degree Programmes:
- Eligibility:
- Bachelor’s Degree holders with at least Second Class Honours and a minimum GPA of 3.0 (5-point scale).
- Postgraduate Diploma holders with at least a Credit Pass and a minimum GPA of 3.5 (5-point scale).
- Specific Requirements:

Doctorate (Ph.D.) Programmes:
- Eligibility:
- Master’s Degree holders with a minimum GPA of 3.5 (5-point scale).

How to Apply
Application Procedure
- Visit the UNN portal to generate an invoice for the application fee of ₦26,700 via the Remita platform.
- Pay online or at any bank branch.
- Complete the application form online and upload all necessary documents in JPEG format.
- Provide valid email addresses for referees.
Submission of Transcripts
Applicants must arrange for transcripts from their previous institutions to be sent directly to:

- Deadline: Transcripts must arrive no later than 1 August 2025 for the application to be processed.
Important Notes
- NYSC Discharge, Exemption, or Exclusion Certificates must be included in the application.
