University of Port Harcourt Denies Allegations of Lecturer’s Sexual Assault

Claims have surfaced that a University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) instructor sexually abused a female student in his office. The university has refuted these charges.

A guy who is allegedly a university instructor is shown in a video that has gone viral on social media indulging in sexual assault on a female student. The act was allegedly committed by the man.

However, in a statement that was sent to LEADERSHIP in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, Dr. Sam Kpenu, who is the Director of Information, Publications, and Public Relations (IPPR) at the institution, claimed that the charges were without foundation and that they were not genuine.

A professor at UNIPORT was allegedly involved in a molestation episode with a student that took place in his office, according to the statement, which claimed that false accusations were being spread about the event.

The institution issued a statement denying any reports of such incidents involving any faculty members. UNIPORT conducted a thorough inquiry into the situation and determined that the claimed event did not occur on its campus, and none of its employees were involved in the incident.

In a statement, UNIPORT reaffirmed its dedication to upholding the highest possible standards of integrity, ethics, and professionalism, and it condemned any misbehavior that may compromise the health and safety of its students.

The university is committed to providing all members of the academic community with a learning environment that is both secure and conducive to student success.

The university issued a call to action to the general public and the media, urging them to take care when disseminating incorrect material that has the potential to unfairly damage the reputations of businesses and people.

In this day and age of rampant disinformation, UNIPORT emphasized the need to confirm the genuineness of news before disseminating it via various channels.

In addition to maintaining its dedication to truth, fairness, and justice, UNIPORT will continue to take the necessary precautions to secure and defend its students, teachers, and staff until further notice.
