Screening for ‘Brilliant Students Scholarship Programme’ by Psaltry Foundation Scheduled for May 25th, 2024
The screening process for the 2024 Psaltry Foundation Scholarship Scheme, known as the ‘Brilliant Students Scholarship Programme,’ is scheduled for Saturday, May 25th, 2024.
This initiative is aimed at identifying academically outstanding yet financially disadvantaged children of farmers who aspire to pursue higher education. The screening will take place at the main hall of Iseyin District Grammar School (IDGS) in Iseyin, Oyo State.
Alhaji Saheed Alaran, the Chairman of the Psaltry Foundation Scholarship Scheme, explained during a discussion with journalists in Iseyin that the screening is designed to determine the genuine need for higher education among these students. The foundation is committed to supporting the educational aspirations of farmer’s children who lack the financial means to pursue further studies.
The ex-Chairman of Iseyin local government stated that the program will include a hundred recipients who will pursue studies in various fields such as Law, Medicine, Agronomy, Engineering, and other miscellaneous courses. The support will extend to cover their food and housing needs.
“This scheme was planned to benefit the children of mainly farmers who are willing to have academic achievement and get to management positions at Psaltry Farms Limited and other organisations.
“This screening will only help to pick those who are willing to work for the scholarship, it is part of the measures to give the beneficiaries opportunity to sit up and make better decisions about their futures,” he told reporters.
He continued by telling the journalists that individuals eligible for the scholarship program could still access and hand in their registration forms until Friday, May 24th, 2024.
