Schedule for the 2024/2025 JAMB CBT Examination, New updates, fees and dates
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) officially released the schedule for the 2024/2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry.
The highly anticipated computer-based examination, which serves as a gateway for Nigerian students to tertiary institutions, has important dates and guidelines that aspiring candidates must follow.
Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board 2024 registration period
The registration for the CBT JAMB 2024/2025 UTME and Direct Entry opened on January 15, 2024, that marked the start of the application process for prospective candidates.
Registration deadline and fees
Aspiring UTME and DE candidates should keep in mind that the deadlines for completing their registrations are February 26th and March 28th, 2024, respectively. The registration fee for both UTME and Direct Entry is ₦6,200. Foreign students will pay only $30.
JAMB prescribed literary text 2024
For the 2024/2025 UTME, candidates must read Khadija Abubakar Jalli’s novel The Life Changer. A thorough understanding of this literary work is essential, as questions about it will appear in the Use-of-English exam.
Examination slip reprinting
The reprinting of JAMB examination slips is set to begin on April 10, 2024. Candidates are encouraged to reprint their slips as soon as possible in order to obtain important information such as the exam date, time, and location.
JAMB mock examination 2024
An optional mock examination for the 2024/2025 UTME has been scheduled for March 7th, 2024. Candidates can choose to take this preparatory test, which allows them to become familiar with the exam format. Candidates for the mock exam will pay ₦7,700.
UTME commencement and duration
The main Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board 2024/2025 UTME is scheduled to begin on April 19th, 2024 and run through April 29th, 2024. Candidates are strongly advised to constantly check for JAMB updates, as these dates may change if necessary.
