Post-UTME Mock Screening Requirements

Before the official screening, the university offers a mock post-UTME to help candidates familiarize themselves with the process. For this mock examination, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  1. A laptop or desktop with an inbuilt webcam and microphone. Alternatively, external devices may be used if necessary.
  2. Uninterrupted internet access for at least one hour.
  3. Installation of the necessary examination software at least 48 hours prior to the test.
  4. Printing the screening pass from the university’s post-UTME website.

Who Is Eligible for the Post-UTME?

To be eligible for OOU’s post-UTME screening, candidates must meet certain conditions. These include:

  • UTME candidates who chose OOU as their first choice institution.
  • Candidates who have scored at least 160 in their UTME.
  • Candidates who selected a different university but are willing to change their choice to OOU before the screening.
  • UTME candidates who have uploaded their O’Level results to JAMB’s CAPS system.
  • Direct Entry candidates with qualifications like A-Level, OND, HND, NCE, JUPEB, or a first degree from recognized institutions.
  • Diploma holders from OOU or other universities with at least Upper Credit who are applying via Direct Entry.

Application Process for Post-UTME

The application process for the post-UTME screening involves several steps:

  1. Visit the OOU post-UTME portal.
  2. Enter your JAMB registration number and other personal details such as name, date of birth, and gender.
  3. Choose your mode of entry from the options provided (UTME, Direct Entry, OOU PDS 2023/2024, or OOU JUPEB 2023/2024).
  4. Input your PDS or JUPEB number if applicable.
  5. Provide contact information, including phone number, email address, marital status, and state of origin.
  6. After reviewing your details, submit the form.
  7. Pay ₦2,000 for the screening and generate a payment invoice.

Checking Post-UTME Results

The university has released the results for the 2024/2025 post-UTME screening. Candidates who participated can access their results by visiting the OOU PUTME portal.
