Nigerian Lawyer Daniel Bwala Denies Connection to Bullied Student, Calls Out School’s Response
Daniel Bwala, a Nigerian lawyer, categorically denied any association with a female student at Lead British International School in Abuja who was allegedly exposed to bullying.
Bwala made a statement on X on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, stating that the girl in the video was not his daughter and he had no children attending the school.
Bwala vehemently denounced violence and bullying, emphasizing that he promptly reported the event to the police.
The individual commended the calm and collected behavior of the little girl throughout the event, but said that if the kid involved had been his own, he would have intervened to ensure their safety.
Bwala stressed the need of tackling such circumstances in society and highlighted his proactive strategy in engaging law enforcement.
He said that he was apprised of the incident by an individual who erroneously believed that the victim was his daughter.
Upon becoming aware of the occurrence, he promptly took action and notified the authorities. In addition, Bwala expressed issues on the school’s response, raising questions about the quality of education and the morals being imparted to the children.
He sent a message stating that he became aware of a popular video circulating on social media that claimed his daughter had been subjected to bullying or assault.
He explicitly said that the girl seen in the video was not his biological offspring, and he categorically denied having any progeny enrolled in the school.
Although he praised the little girl’s self-control, he said that he would have advocated for self-defense if she were his own kid. However, he notified police authorities about the occurrence, underscoring the fact that violence and bullying are not tolerated in society.
He said that he was informed by someone about the incident, who mistakenly believed that the girl was his daughter. This prompted him to call the school before talking to him. According to him, the school declared that both females involved were underage and should be handled accordingly.
He raised doubts about the school’s methodology, implying that it was indicative of the caliber of education and morals being taught to the kids.
