Lead British International School Takes Action After Viral Bullying Video Sparks Outrage

In reaction to a video that went viral showing a female student being tormented by her classmates, the Lead British International School in Abuja has taken quick action.

The administration of the school voiced their dissatisfaction with the situation and made the decision to initiate an inquiry.

Social media footage that went viral showed a female student being bullied and questioned by her classmates. The films were shared on several social media platforms.

Within the context of the film, the victim is seen being slapped many times by another female student in front of witnesses. In addition to the videos, a person on Twitter who goes by the handle @mooyeeeeeee uploaded a tweet with a call to action, which demanded justice and a more widespread campaign against bullying.

The individual added that the female student had been tormented by her classmates at Lead British School, and they begged people to assist in making the video viral in order to bring about justice for the victim.

A female can be seen in one video hitting the victim and saying, “Who broke my heart?” in response to the incident. In another video, the victim can be seen sitting next to a male student who admits taking responsibility for the disruption of her relationship.

There was an instant response from the public to the films, with many people denouncing the kids’ actions and pushing the school to take action against those who were responsible for the behavior.

On Tuesday, Abraham Ogunkambi, the Head of Lead British International School, published a statement that provided an overview of the school’s approach to the situation.

It was stressed by him that the school is taking the situation seriously and has reached out to the victim and her family in order to provide assistance and counseling services in order to help them deal with the emotional and psychological effects of the occurrence.

A further announcement made by Ogunkambi was that the school would give counseling and apply disciplinary actions to the individuals who were responsible for the perpetration of the conduct.

The event, as well as any other complaints of bullying that may have occurred inside the school, will be investigated by a panel that has been constituted.
