Here are the basic admission criteria for GAPOSA across different academic levels.
National Diploma (ND)
- You need to have at least five (5) credit-level grades from exams such as WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, covering English and Mathematics as well as subjects pertinent to your chosen course. These results can be obtained over a maximum of two (2) exam sessions.
Higher National Diploma (HND)
- To be eligible for admission to Gateway Polytechnic Saapade (GAPOSA), students must achieve at least five credit passes in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB exams, including passes in English Language and Mathematics, as well as any other subjects necessary for their chosen course. These passes should be obtained in no more than two exam sessions.
- For the 2024/2025 academic year, the minimum cut-off score for all courses at GAPOSA is 120. Students who score 120 or higher can participate in the internal screening process.
- Candidates who have graduated from Gateway (ICT) Polytechnic, Saapade, or who hold a Diploma from a recognized polytechnic, must possess at least a Lower Credit National Diploma and have completed one year of related industry work.
- Applicants with a National Diploma at PASS level can also apply if they have two years of relevant industry work experience following their diploma.
