Chinwe Splendour: University Demands Return of Certificate After Graduate Admits Sleeping with Lecturers

In a shocking turn of events, a Nigerian graduate, Chinwe Splendour, has been thrust into the spotlight following her controversial revelations on a podcast.

The young woman, who completed her studies five years ago, shared intimate details about her time in university, including how she resorted to sleeping with lecturers to pass her courses. This confession, which she candidly made during a recent podcast appearance, has led her alma mater to demand the return of her academic certificate within 48 hours.

Chinwe’s story began innocuously enough as she chronicled the challenges she faced during her university years.

She described the harsh realities of life as a student, particularly the financial struggles that pushed her into the world of night work. According to Chinwe, the demands of her ‘hustle’ left her too exhausted to attend lectures, forcing her to seek alternative means to succeed academically.

“I finished school five years ago. When I entered, things were so hard for me, and I had no other option than to enter street, and during that time, I did not have time for lectures because after night work, I would be tired. So I decided to cover up my studies by sleeping with lecturers,” she confessed during the podcast, which was shared widely on social media, including by popular Instagram user @ijeomadaisy.

Chinwe went on to reveal that there was an entire academic year during which she did not attend a single lecture but still managed to pass all her courses. Her method of survival, as she described it, involved engaging in intimate relationships with several lecturers, which, she claimed, enabled her to secure good grades.

“There was a particular year that I did not attend lectures at all, but I made all my papers. It was not easy. I had to do what I had to do to survive. I slept with so many lecturers, and I came out with good grades,” she said, her voice tinged with a mixture of regret and defiance.

The podcast episode quickly went viral, sparking widespread outrage and disbelief. It wasn’t long before the university administration got wind of Chinwe’s statements. The institution, which has not been publicly named, responded swiftly and decisively, issuing a demand that Chinwe return her academic certificate within 48 hours. This ultimatum has left the former student devastated and confused.

In a tearful video shared online, Chinwe expressed her deep pain and frustration over the university’s decision. She questioned the fairness of the demand, arguing that despite her unconventional methods, she had earned her certificate through hard work and determination.

“The university I attended sent me an email to return my certificate within 48 hours. I want to ask, is this right? That certificate, I earned it. I worked hard for it,” she said, her voice breaking with emotion. “If it’s like that, then I know so many of my coursemates that will return their own certificate. I am really going through a lot.”

Chinwe’s plight has sparked a heated debate on social media, with many people expressing sympathy for her situation, while others have condemned both her actions and the university’s response. Some argue that the university is within its rights to revoke her certificate if it was obtained through dishonest means, while others believe that Chinwe is being unfairly punished for actions that are all too common in certain academic circles.

As the story continues to unfold, it raises critical questions about the integrity of academic institutions, the pressures faced by students in financially precarious situations, and the lengths to which some may go to achieve success. Chinwe Splendour’s candid revelations have undoubtedly opened a Pandora’s box, and the repercussions of her podcast appearance are likely to reverberate for some time to come.
